Dear Friend,
Do you long for a place to connect with other Christian women?
Are you yearning to experience the hope, encouragement, and acceptance associated with praying and studying the Word of God with other sisters in Christ?
If these questions reflect your heart, we warmly welcome you to join us at our monthly meetings to celebrate our hope in Jesus Christ.
We’re glad that you have taken the time to learn more about Women’s Fellowship at Amelia Christian Church. We are excited about how the Lord is leading us and how He is blessing our group. It is our desire that you are able to find a place where you can be encouraged and nurtured as you encounter Christ. Please feel free to contact the church for more information. Come join us and grow in the Word of God and find some new friends!
Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month. We meet from 7PM until 8:30pm in the Activity Room.
Our meetings start with a devotional reading and program. Old and new business is discussed, an offering is collected and joys and concerns/prayer requests are shared. Our meetings always end with refreshments and social time.
The Amelia Women’s Fellowship seeks to provide a regular venue for women of all ages for relationship building, encouragement and prayer, striving to facilitate growth and equipping in the Lord in accordance with the following Bible directives:
- To witness and disciple
- To exhort and encourage
- To desire and learn holiness by example
- To use spiritual gifts
- To mentor
- To be equipped to teach others
The Amelia Women’s Fellowship has many on-going projects. We collect:
- Pop Tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald House
- Eyeglasses – given to Clayton Eye Clinic who then delivers them to people in need
- Campbell’s Soup labels to benefit the Elon Home for Children
- canned goods for Clayton Area Ministries
In addition we have a service project that we sponser each month. This may be to support Church World Services by participating in one of their projects and mission funds including Health Kits, School Kits, Clean-up Kits, and Blanket Sunday. It might also be to give donations from our treasury to local non-profit organizations, the Building Fund, or American Cancer society. Some of the other projects that we have done are to collect items for Harbour House, I Choose Pregnancy, Brown Bag Ministries, Bookbag Buddies, school supplies for local schools, and snacks for local EMS workers.
We also continue to support the Prayer Blanket Ministry by accepting any type handmade blankets. As needed these blankets are prayed over for specific people going through difficult times and then given to those people.
