]]> The Mission Outreach Committee supports the church through reaching out, serving others, and ministering to the needs of our church family, our community, and our world.

The Mission Outreach Committee has a strong home mission outreach through facilitating a visitation emphasis for our sick and home-bound families; assisting local families in the community who ask for help;  coordinating an angel tree with a local school to ensure many school age children have clothes, a Christmas present, and feel the love of Jesus; as well as scheduling opportunities for volunteering in our community (Ex. Habitat for Humanity)

The Mission Outreach Committee also has a strong mission emphasis abroad through encouraging mission trip outreach to the Haiti Mission Field as well as planning a church event meal packing event each fall that serves Haiti as well.

]]> Women’s Fellowship has opened up an ongoing project of monthly food donations to Clayton Area Ministries. Each month we will designate a specific food item for the congregation to donate. For the month of February, we are collecting peanut butter and jelly, since they go together so well! Individual or family size containers are equally appreciated. Donation boxes are in the foyer of the Education Building. All donations will be taken at the end of the month to CAM to stock the shelves.

]]> Clayton Area Ministries (CAM) helps people who need help with food and/or utilities. CAM receives financial support and food from a dozen or more churches in the Clayton Community.

CAM is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. People needing assistance go to the CAM office to describe their need. If CAM is not able to give them immediate assistance, then local churches or various government agencies are contacted to fulfill the need.

CAM is always looking for volunteers. If you are available to work at their office, please call 553-5654 and let us know when you can help. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Youth ARISE Weekend

North Carolina Presbyterian ARISE is a movement of Christian renewal based in the beliefs of the Christian Church. An ARISE retreat is an encounter with Christ in which the participants become part of a community abounding in Gods grace. It is a weekend based on faith building and strengthening of relationships both with Christ and other youth. ARISE is a God centered community, in which a wide variety of youth grow together in fun, fellowship and worship of Jesus Christ. On your journey of faith, ARISE is a stepping stone that can give you an awareness of your responsibilities as a Christian. During the three days of an ARISE weekend, youth and adults come together from all over North Carolina to grow in their faith. For more info, click here to view the guest application.

Jennifer Adams, a former member of the Senior Youth, is an active volunteer in ARISE.  Following her intial retreat weekend, she said, “ARISE is my sunshine after the rain, the best thing that has ever happened to me. “
