At Amelia Kids, we believe that following Jesus is fun! We commit to providing a fun and safe experience for every person that walks through our doors. We want to partner with you as the primary faith leader and caregiver for your child! Join our email list to receive resources and updates about what is happening in Amelia Kids.
We currently offer two ways for kids to get plugged in at Amelia!
Sunday School
Sunday School is at 9:45am in the Education Building and provides a small group environment for kids to learn and apply scripture at their age level. We have classes for preschool through fifth grade. The nursery is also open during this time.
Parents will check in their children using the designated stations and drop them off at their classroom with a background checked and trained volunteer for a lesson, activities, and discussion. The volunteer will walk the class to Children’s Church at the appropriate time.
Children’s Church
Children’s Church is at 10:45am in the Education Building and provides a large group environment for kids to experience Jesus with kids from different age groups. We have classes for preschool and elementary aged students, as well as the nursery being open.
If arriving only for Children’s Church, parents will check in their children using the designated stations and drop them off at their classroom with background checked and trained volunteers. During Children’s Church, kids will have a chance to engage with scripture, play games that reinforce their lesson, and participate in activities and discussion about scripture. Children will remain with their teachers until picked up by their guardian.
This Month’s Series
FIRED UP: A 5-week series from the 1 Kings on Elijah.
SERIES OVERVIEW:
Fire up the ovens! We’re headed to the kitchen to bake up something special. Kitchens are incredible places where the most basic ingredients are transformed into delicious treats. Our faith can be a lot like that, too! In this 5-week series, kids will follow the life of the prophet Elijah, whose ministry involved a lot of fire and bread as he formed a special relationship with God. They’ll learn how knowing God helps me find what I need, hears my voice, guides me when I’m scared, comforts me, and is always with me are all the ingredients they need to get fired up!
Our memory verse this month is Matthew 4:4: “Jesus answered, ‘It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ “
